Red, White and Blue Celebration Tables
These Red, White and Blue Celebration Tables are perfect for getting together and CELEBRATING our GREAT NATION and the FREEDOM we have!!! There are three tables. A food table, dessert table and a guest table. Each one with lots of fun ideas along with yummy recipes. Set the mood to celebrate the 4th of July with these tables.
I also have some printables and a how-to on the cute mason jar lantern holder you see below.
FOOD TABLE:
I started by lining the food table and guest table with brown shipping paper and stamped the paper with stars I cut from sponges. The frames with the chicken wire are the frames I used for my VALENTINE’S DAY DESSERT TABLE. I thought it would add a little height and interest to the background. HERE is the template for the letters to make “Build Your Own Burgers”.
Nothing says PICNIC like grilled corn! I took dowels, sharpened them with a pencil sharpener, stuck the corn in them and placed them in an old crate. Aren’t they FUN?
My FAVORITE thing about this table is the MASON JAR HANGER!
I took wire, wrapped it around the lip of the mason jar, threaded the two loops in and then twisted it shut. For extra support I screwed on the lid. Then wired on chain in different lengths.
I used large cup hooks, screwed them into the underside of the wood, filled the jars with colored rice and a votive candle.
COLORED RICE:
Here’s how I did it.
You’ll need 1 – 10 pound bag of white long grain rice.
2- Ziploc bags – divide the rice equally between the bags.
Rubbing Alcohol – Pour enough rubbing alcohol into the bags with rice in them to cover the rice.
Food coloring (colors of your choice) – Add food coloring to the bags of rubbing alcohol and rice. Rub the color into the rice. Keep adding food coloring until the desired colors are reached.
Once your rice has reached your desired color, dump rice into a strainer and drain as much of the rubbing alcohol as possible.
Let it dry on wax paper. Every so often move the rice around to allow the bottom layer to dry. This also works on pasta.
GUEST TABLE:
PLACE SETTING:
HOW TO MAKE THE PARTY CUTLERY/NAPKIN HOLDER: Keep cutlery and napkins in one place for barbecues, picnics or any other party!
PLACE CARD: I used a small bucket filled with colored rice, a cupcake topper, a small appetizer pick flag and a Popsicle stick stamped with the guests name. NOTE: Sorry about the picture it was VERY windy that day.
HOW TO MAKE THE PATRIOTIC PARTY FAVOR: The celebration wouldn’t be complete without a FUN PARTY FAVOR!
The rest of the place setting is a mason jar with a straw decorated with a cute ribbon flag, blue plate with a flag placed on top, and a metal votive candle holder.
DESSERT TABLE:
I used my old dresser to hold all the goodies for this celebration! Along with an old suitcase, crate and metal stand.
All I can say is WOW!!! Looks like a ton of fun! Wish I could come to the party!
Everything here is amazing. I love the mason jars filled with sprinkles and candles. I adore all the different food items, especially the corn on the cob. The hand stamped table cloth is brilliant. Great job all around. Jodi @ http://www.meaningfulmama.com

Happy Memorial Day weekend.
These are beautiful! I love all your vintage stuff… amazing. Pinned it!
I LOVE so many of these ideas. I can’t decide if the corn or the rice is my favorite. I like the rice idea because it is so cheap!
