How to Pack up the Syrup
Pour maple syrup into a 2 ounce soufflé clear plastic cup. These cups can be found at most grocery stores and are located where the paper products are available. If you’re not a fan of syrup you can also use jelly or a tablespoon of butter. The lip on the cup help keep the cup suspended above the pancake mix. 1. Do I understand this right…make up the batter place in jar with extra flavoring items overnight? If this is right, I will use it often, hubby leaves for work WAY BEFORE I think about awaking…he won’t have to eat drive-thru junk!!!!
Hi Elaine, Yes, one batter recipe is for each flavor addition recipe. I also have one with sausage. Click here for that recipe —->>>>MAPLE SAUSAGE PANCAKE IN A JAR.
I tried this last week and the family LOVED them! I cook all meals including work/school meals and snacks, and am always trying to find new things to put into the rotation. I’ve only tried the maple sausage pancakes so far, but they were a huge hit. Thank you!
WooHoo that’s awesome!
I am a bit confused. It says to use 5 Tablespoons of batter in the recipe. But in a comment it states that you use the whole batter recipe for each jat. Can you help me understand.
Hi Vivian, When I stated that the recipe fits perfectly in a half pint jar I was referring to the recipe for each flavored cake (5 tablespoons).
Could you tell me what pancake mix works best will all the additional ingredients.
Hi Jess, Any kind will work as long as you don’t use a just add water type.
