Appetizer Sandwiches
Make these Appetizer Sandwiches with frozen dinner rolls and then top them with your favorite sandwich items. For these sandwiches I mixed together mayonnaise and whole grain mustard then added roasted red peppers, sliced pepper jack cheese and ham. For fun I topped some with a green olive and some with pickles.
Now you can make your own slider sized buns! These are so much better than the pre-made ones you buy at the store plus they are REALLY easy and cheap to make.
Spray regular size muffin tin cups with cooking spray; add the frozen rolls and cover with a clean kitchen towel to thaw (about 30 minutes). NOTE: DO NOT LET THEM RISE Once the rolls have thawed, cut them in half and re-roll them into balls.
Place them in prepared mini muffin tin cups, cover with a clean kitchen towel to rise (about 2 hours) and bake.

Great idea! I’m having a First Communion party at the beginning of May. My sil and I were thinking about offering sandwiches. I love the idea of making my own rolls because it’s so hard to find the smaller rolls.
I make homemade sliders…like Krystal Burgers, or White Castle. The hard part is finding suitable buns. I will try these next time! I saw your post on Foodie Friday. I am now following your blog. Patsy

I’m a bit confused…you thaw the rolls, then cut in half and roll into a ball. So now you have twice as many rolls? Just making sure I got it right. thanks
Hi Cindy, Yes, It’s so you end up with small slider rolls. 🙂
I would love the recipe for what’s inside the sandwich. It looks so good!
Hi Miranda, Looks like ham, cheese, roasted red peppers and mayo with some whole grain mustard mixed together.
Can you prepare the rolls the day before?
Hi Jane, Sure, you can totally make them the day before. 🙂
