•Cut the dowel a little bigger to the desired pencil size with wire cutters (my finished size is 3¾ inches).
•Lay cut side of dowel onto the sand paper and sand until straight and smooth.
•Sharpen in a pencil sharpener.
•Paint the pencil a golden yellow.
•Paint the eraser.
•Paint on the metal band.
•Dip the sharpened tip in black paint lightened with a little white.

DIY (Game Night) Mini Pencils
Attach these cute pencils to the side of a mini jar filled with cookie dippers and homemade vanilla frosting.
Materials
- ¼ inch dowel (my finished size is 3¾ inches)
- craft paint (gold, cayenne-eraser color, silver, black, and white)
Tools
- wire cutters
- sand paper
- sponge brush
- pencil sharpener
Instructions
- Cut dowels with wire cutters a little larger then 3¾ inches (finished pencil should measure about 3¾ inches) I got 6 from one dowel.
- Sand uneven edge until the edge is straight and smooth.
- Sharpen one of the dowel in the pencil sharpener.
- Paint the pencil a golden yellow, let dry.
- Paint the eraser, let dry.
- Paint on the metal band, let dry.
- Dip the sharpened tip in black paint lightened with a little white.
