- 2 liter bottle 7UP
- optional blueberry lemonade Swedish fish candy
- optional Ocean Water Freezer Bars (Sonic-from Dollar Tree)
POOL PARTY PUNCH RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS

- Fill glass with ice, pour in punch, add a few fish, submerge freezer bars, and serve.
Gold Fish Tank Drinking Glass
I used small cookie jars from Dollar Tree as the drinking cups. The shape reminded me of a goldfish tank. Not too big for small hands. I would recommend plastic cups or plastic fish bowls pictured above for smaller children.
FOUND THESE IN THE DOLLAR SPOT AT TARGET
2 Count Hexagon Plastic Jars—$3.00 (4½ inches tall x 4½ inches wide. These jars are meant for storage or candy. I think they are the perfect size and shape to use for fish tank punch! If you’re planning a pool party go get them now! You know how quickly items disappear in the dollar spot.
OCEAN WATER FREEZE BARS
I found the freezer bars at Dollar Tree. The box comes with red and blue pops. Using only the blue ice pops I submerged them into each glass filled with the blueberry lemonade punch. Recreating the fancy tropical drinks served at a tropical bar with a popsicle submerged into the drink.
BERRY LEMONADE
Adding something blue to your punch will give you the ocean water affect. Light blue works best. I found the berry lemonade at Dollar Tree. Below are a few more blue drink choices.
BLUE RASPBERRY LEMONADE SWEDISH FISH CANDY
These blue Swedish fish are not only tasty but are the perfect color for the blue tropical drink.
OCEAN WATER PUNCH MODIFICATIONS
One of the great things about making your own punch is it can be customized to what you like. This easy punch recipe only has two ingredients. Below is a list of some of my favorite punch ingredients that can easily be added to this punch.
- FRESH FRUIT ( make sure the fruit you add matches the flavors of the punch, example this punch berries and sliced lemon)
- JUICE-pineapple, mango, guava, passion fruit (TIP: keep in mind when adding fruit juice it will change the color of the punch)
- SHERBET: pineapple, coconut, blue raspberry (serves as sea foam)
THE PERFECT PARTY PUNCH
This easy to make tropical punch fits perfectly into several party themes. Below is a list of my favorite summer parties and birthday parties.
- FINDING DORY BIRTHDAY PARTY
- PIRATE BITHDAY PARTY
- LUAU PARTY
- POOL PARTY
- UNDER THE SEA PARTY OR ANY BEACH THEME
How to Make Punch Bowl Ocean Water Berry Lemonade Punch
Serving individual punch bowls for a kids party is fun. If purchasing small fish tanks as cups isn’t in the party budget you can always make the punch in a punch bowl or large glass container.
- Fill a large punch bowl or glass container with ice.
- Pour in contents (for this recipe, berry lemonade and 7-Up)
- Add fish, fruit or both to the punch—TIP: If the addition of the liquid has melted the ice add more ice BEFORE adding the fish or fruit—slide the fish along the sides of the punch bowl so they can be seen.
- IF ADDING SHERBET: Lightly drop scoops of sherbet on the top of the punch to look like sea foam.
MY FAVORITE LARGE GLASS CONTAINER FOR PUNCH
This extra large jar is 256 ounce (2 gallons) and can hold A LOT of punch! I love the shape! It doesn’t take up a lot of room and has a lid.
