These iconic marshmallow candies are a staple of Easter, and when you add them as props and treats on your dessert table, you’re sure to create a playful and festive atmosphere. How to Build an Easter Dessert Table
HELP! I HAVE ALL THE THINGS FOR MY EASTER DESSERT TABLE, BUT I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO FIRST!
When putting together a dessert table, the best place to start is with a quick plan—think of it as your sweet strategy. Begin by picking a theme or color palette to guide your decorations and treats; this helps everything feel cohesive and intentional. Next, decide where your table will be and how much space you have to work with. From there, arrange your larger centerpiece items first, like cake stands or tiered trays, to anchor the setup. Once the main layout is in place, you can add in smaller desserts, decorative touches like flowers or Easter-themed props, and finally, fill in any gaps with candies or fun little extras. Taking it step by step keeps it fun and stress-free—and before you know it, your dessert table will be looking picture-perfect! Below is the list in order of which I put together this Easter Dessert Table, and REMEMBER I have filled this table with tons of ideas so you can pick and choose which ones work best for you. You don’t have to do all the ideas, although if you did, that would work too! Have fun creating!
BACKDROP: If you plan on hanging banners and a backdrop, it’s important to do it first. Otherwise, you’ll have to move the table and risk messing up what you’ve already designed.

- PASTEL WOOD SLATS PANEL: This cute panel is lightweight and measures 7×5 ft. The panel really adds to the look of the dessert table and brings the spring theme altogether. CLICK HERE FOR THE LINK (not an affiliate)→COLORFUL WOOD BACKDROP

- KITE BANNER PRINTABLE: The perfect banner for Easter, a Spring Celebration, or a kite-themed Birthday Party. Each kite also comes with matching bows. TIP: Glue or a white pipe cleaner to the back of each kite, then glue or use double stick tape to fasten bows to the pipe cleaners. ♥ (6)Small Pastel Kite (with three matching bows per color) Banner—Measures (each kite): 8 inches tall x 5½ inches wide with matching bows. - BUNNY BANNER PRINTABLE: An assortment of 6 pastel colors, this fun banner has multiple options. Print up and display some sprinkled around the party room, fill the room with multiple banners. Perfect for a photo booth, behind a dessert table, or over a kids’ table. ♥Pastel Easter Bunny Silhouette Banner—(Each Bunny) Measures 6½ inches tall x 2 ½ inches wide. - PEEPS STRING OF LIGHTS: The string of lights has 10 hard plastic Peeps. I found them at Dollar Tree.
BUILD THE TABLE: From display containers, treats, to decorations. This is when the fun starts! DON’T FORGET TO SHOP YOUR HOUSE FOR DISPLAY PIECES! Think outside the box. Almost anything can become a riser.

- RULE NUMBER ONE: After the tablecloth has been spread on the table, start with your tallest displays. In this case, it is the three-tiered stand and a crate turned upside down.
- The next step can be taken in two directions: adding decor first or adding treats first. I find it easier to add the decor BEFORE adding the treats.
- GRASS: Add sprinkles of paper grass as a filler. I used paper grass from Walmart, which I found in the Easter basket section.
- PEEPS DECOR: Peeps decor is everywhere. Walmart, Target, Five Below, and Dollar Tree. All the plastic Peeps came from Dollar Tree, but if you can’t find what you’re looking for there, make sure you visit the other store listed.

- FLOWER POTS: BOUQUET OF FLOWERS: Add these cute, primitive cartoon-ish flowers to containers like clay pots or wooden crates for a fun pop of color. Also included are printable Peeps bunnies. There are two options: a sheet of silhouette bunnies for pastel paper or a sheet of pastel bunnies for white paper. Add one peeking out from behind the flowers. HERE’S HOW TO ASSEMBLE A BOUQUET OF FLOWERS: Tape or glue a single flower to a skewer. Do the same for the Peep. TIP: I used skewers of different heights: tall, medium, and small. Add the flowers to your container in different heights. Sneak in a Peep. Use Easter basket grass as a filler. I like using the paper type, not the shiny plastic. ADDED TOUCH, PRINT THE BUTTERFLIES FROM THE EASTER BASKET FILE AND ADD ONE TO YOUR BOUQUET. CLICK HERE FOR THE FREE PRINTABLE FLOWERS AND PEEPS→EASTER PARTY FREE PRINTABLE COLLECTION

- EASTER BASKET PARTY FAVORS: This fun basket comes in FOUR pastel colors, has a matching strap, a butterfly, and is super easy to cut out and assemble. Place at each place setting filled with basket grass, chocolates, or filled plastic Easter eggs. And just like that, you’ve created a fun dinner party! Assembled basket measures 4 inches wide x 5 inches long x 2 inches tall (not including the strap)
NOW THAT YOUR DECOR IS ALL IN PLACE, IT’S TIME TO ADD THE TREATS!
When it comes to delighting taste buds with easy and delicious desserts, there are a few key things to keep in mind. First, consider incorporating a variety of flavors and textures to cater to different preferences. Whether it’s rich chocolate brownies, tangy lemon bars, or light and fluffy cupcakes, having a range of options will ensure there’s something for everyone to enjoy. For this dessert table, I kept the treats more kid-friendly. REMEMBER…these are only suggestions. You can choose to use some of the ideas or all of them! I will go overboard so you can have options
PEEPS INSPIRED DECORATED PRETZELS: If you’re in need of one more treat, then these pretzels are for you! The perfect balance of sweet and salty, these easy-to-make treats are perfection. Instead of adding the Peeps pretzels to a jar, I decided to camouflage them in an arrangement. Using the printable flowers that were used in the flower pots and sliding them into pastel pretzel pockets allowed me to easily insert them into the arrangement.
HERE’S HOW I MADE THE DECORATED PRETZEL FLORAL ARRANGEMENT

EASTER DECORATED PRETZEL POCKETS: YOU GET SIX DESIGNS PLUS BUNNY EARS! What’s a pretzel pocket? Even though decorated pretzels are amazing all on their own, adding a pocket pumps up the cuteness and keeps your guests’ hands clean while eating their delicious treat. One design is made to look like a bunny tummy! HERE’S HOW TO MAKE A WHITE RABBIT DECORATED PRETZEL: Decorate your pretzel with a white almond bark. While the candy is wet, add pink, blue, or yellow sprinkles. Mixing all three colors together is pretty, too! Reserve some of the white melted candy. Once the candy has hardened, add a dollop on the top of the pretzel, place the cut-out ears in the melted candy, you can add a few more sprinkles, hold in place a few seconds or until the candy holds onto the ears, set aside to cool completely. ♥ (6) Designs: White Rabbit (plus ears), Green, Yellow, Blue, Purple, and Pink Gingham print. Dimensions: 5 inches tall x 1-5/8 inches wide—FOLLOW THE SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS INCLUDED WITH THE PRETZEL POCKET PRINTABLE—For a floral arrangement, glue or tape a skewer to the back of each pocket, pinch the pocket to make it pucker, and slide the pretzel into the pocket. Now slide the pocket into place. FOR THE FLORAL ARRANGEMENT, make sure the inside is filled with floral foam. Insert the flowers and pretzels. Voila! Unless you look closely, it looks like just a decoration! BELOW ARE THE PRINTABLE INSTRUCTIONS—CLICK HERE FOR THE FREE EASTER DECORATED PRETZEL POCKETS→EASTER PARTY FREE PRINTABLE COLLECTION

For the Floral Arrangement:
- Make the decorated pretzels and set them aside to harden. NOTE: DON'T FORGET TO ADD THE EARS! Reserve some of the melted candy, add a dollop on top of the pretzel, and hold the ears in place for a few seconds until they can stay on their own. To speed up the process, you can place the pretzels in the refrigerator (about 10 minutes).
- Find a container that will fit your arrangement.
- Fill as much of the bottom as you can with floral foam.
- Print and cut the flowers (NOTE: YOU CAN ALSO USE SILK FLOWERS IN PLACE OF THE PAPER FLOWERS). I like how the printed flowers pair with the clay pot floral arrangements.
- Print and cut the pretzel pockets. Use a 6-inch skewer and attach it to the back of the pretzel pocket either using tape or low-temperature glue.
- Insert flowers and pretzel pockets into the floral foam. Pinch the pocket so it puckers, and insert a hardened, decorated pretzel.
- SO CUTE AND ORIGINAL!

Perfect for your Easter Celebration! FOR THE TOPPER: Use a low-temperature glue gun, add a bead of glue to each end of the handle, glue a toothpick to the end, and insert into the top of the cupcake. A canister of Marshmallow Peeps is the perfect addition to any Easter dessert table, offering both a vibrant pop of color and a nostalgic treat. These iconic, pastel-colored marshmallow candies bring an instant sense of whimsy to the table, complementing the cheerful hues of the season. Whether placed in a glass jar as a centerpiece or scattered across the table for easy snacking, Peeps add both visual appeal and a fun, sugary bite to the spread. Their sweet, fluffy texture makes them an irresistible treat for guests of all ages, while their colorful appearance enhances the festive atmosphere, making them a must-have for your Easter celebration.
Consider starting with a focal point or centerpiece that will grab your guests’ attention right away, whether it’s a towering cake adorned with Peeps, a colorful fruit platter, or a stunning display of mini desserts. This visual anchor will not only make a statement but also make it easier for your guests to navigate and choose their treats, setting the stage for the decorating layers of a dessert table. As you continue to build your dessert spread, think about incorporating different heights, textures, and colors to create a visually appealing display that will enhance the overall experience for your guests.
More Decoration Ideas-How to Decorate with Peeps Marshmallow Treats

Peeps are so cute that they can double as party decorations! Think beyond just eating them and use them to spruce up the dessert table. Here are a few ideas to get you started:
- Peeps Flower Pots: Fill a small flower pot with colorful Peeps arranged in a flower-like pattern. These can be used as centerpieces on your dessert table.
- Peeps Garland: String together Peeps to create a garland and drape it across your table or hang it up in the background. This adds a whimsical touch to your setup.
- Peeps Cupcake Toppers: Place a mini Peep on top of each cupcake for a fun, festive flair. Choose different-colored Peeps for variety, or mix and match the classic chick and bunny shapes. The candy inside the Peeps wands (pictured above) I found at Five Below would be perfect for use as mini Peep toppers.
More Treat Ideas: Creative Peeps- Inspired Desserts
Transform those sweet little marshmallow creatures into the stars of your dessert spread! Here are some creative ideas for incorporating Peeps into your desserts:
- Peeps Cupcakes: Bake cupcakes in pastel colors (think pale yellow, pink, and blue) and top each one with a Peep. To give the cupcakes an extra Easter touch, you can also decorate them with sprinkles or mini chocolate eggs.
- Peeps Rice Krispies Treats: Make Rice Krispies treats, cut them into fun shapes (like eggs or bunnies), and top them with a Peep. This easy treat is perfect for kids (and adults) to snack on while mingling at your party.
- Peeps S’mores: Mix Peeps with graham crackers and melted chocolate for a fun twist on traditional s’mores. You can even toast the Peeps on skewers for that perfect gooey marshmallow texture!
- Peeps Donuts: If you’re feeling extra creative, you can make or buy pastel-colored donuts and top them with mini Peeps for a playful look. Add a light drizzle of icing or a sprinkle of edible glitter for that extra Easter sparkle.
Peeps-Themed Drink Ideas
If you want to bring Peeps into your drinks as well, there are some fun ways to make your beverages just as festive as your dessert table:
- Peep Milkshakes: Whip up some pastel-colored milkshakes and garnish with a Peep on the rim of the glass. You can use food coloring to match the colors of your Peeps or add in a little Easter-themed sprinkle mix to make it even more fun.
- Peep Lemonade: Make a batch of fresh lemonade and serve it in mason jars with a Peep perched on the rim, or stab the bottom with a skewer and use it as a stirrer stick. It’s an easy yet adorable way to serve a refreshing drink at your Easter celebration.
