GRANDMAS this is for you! Being a grandma myself I know how it feels to miss out on all the fun with your grandkids. Send them each a Halloween Party In a Can and celebrate together from afar.
This is also a fun Boo gift idea. If you’ve never been booed or booed someone or maybe you don’t even know what being booed is. Here are the instructions: What you do is deliver a boo gift (usually one per child) to a neighbor’s house. Leave it by the front door with a note that instructs the recipient to place a “We’ve Been Booed” sign in the front window (this will let the other neighbors know that you’ve already been booed) also pack up a few boo gifts of your own along with a copy of the sign and secretly deliver them. This is such a fun activity for kids in your neighborhood. I ALSO INCLUDED A “WE’VE BEEN BOOED” label!
All the items in this post were purchased at Dollar Tree (even the cake mix and frosting but not the sprinkles) which makes this fun project super affordable. Some of the cans have slime and some have mini cupcake decorating kits. Below are just examples of what you can purchase or make to put in your Halloween Party In A Can.
PUTTING TOGETHER A MINI CUPCAKE DECORATING KIT TO PLACE IN YOUR CAN IS SUPER FUN FOR THE KIDS AND EASY TO DO! The mini cupcakes fit perfectly in 2 ounce plastic souffle cups (found at Dollar Tree or Walmart with lids). The frosting and sprinkles are in little plastic bags that are used for beads (found in the jewelry making craft section at Walmart).
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A CAN WITH A POP TOP. TURN THE CAN OVER, USE A CAN OPEN THE BOTTOM. CLEAN THE CAN. FILL FROM THE TOP TO THE BOTTOM, STARTING WITH THE FILLER.
ADD TREATS, MAKE A THEMED CAN…LIKE CATS.
REMEMBER TO PLACE THINGS IN UPSIDE DOWN. WRAP A PIECE OF PACKING TAPE AROUND THE BOTTOM. INSERT THE LID. FOLD TAPE OVER TO CLOSE.
Wrap and tape the free printable of your choice!

You can go smaller with the can size. I used a 15.25 ounce can of peaches. One great way of keeping the cost down is by downsizing the can. There are a couple of rules you’ll need to abide by. 1. make sure the top of the can is a pop top. 2. Don’t use a can that has had anything smelly in it; tuna, savory or spicy. Fruit is the best option, soup cans are smaller and might work too. If you feel this might be too expensive then choose to only add one toy and a few pieces of candy. I guess the best way to go about this is to set yourself a budget and then decide what you want the contents to be. Most of all….HAVE FUN!
ALL THEY DO IS POP THE TOP TO REVEAL ALL THEIR GOODIES!
AN AWESOME FUN PARTY FAVOR OR GIFT!
