Easy Espresso Caramel Sauce
You know how chefs always say adding a little coffee to chocolate really brings out the chocolate? That’s where this Easy Espresso Caramel Sauce comes in. Drizzle on a brownie or on my White Chocolate Espresso Mousse. The perfect balance of coffee and caramel.
Swirl this Easy Espresso Caramel Sauce while making homemade vanilla or coffee ice cream. This sauce is so easy to make. You’ll be surprised to know you can make this sauce in less than 20 minutes. Easy Espresso Caramel Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup half and half
- 4 tablespoons butter
- pinch salt
- 2 teaspoons instant espresso coffee powder
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Mix the brown sugar, half and half, butter and salt and espresso powder in a saucepan over medium-low heat.
- Cook while whisking gently for 5 to 7 minutes, until it gets thicker.
- Add the vanilla and cook another minute to thicken further.
- Turn off the heat, cool slightly and pour the sauce into a jar.
- Refrigerate until cold.

Hi Shone, no you don’t want to add anymore liquid to the recipe. I recommend using instant coffee granules.
