Easy No Cook Churro Ice Cream
Easy No Cook Churro Ice Cream | A creamy ice cream with a cinnamon kick and a hidden caramel surprise. Every Fiesta needs something cinnamon and this Easy No Cook Churro Ice Cream was exactly what my Fiesta Party needed! I love making ice cream to serve as dessert at a party. It’s a dessert that can be made a week ahead and remain just as fresh as the day I made it. Now that’s a hostesses dream come true! ♥
You might spy a churro in the ice cream. I decided (after the fact) that adding churro chunks and then freezing them wasn’t a good idea. Unlike when I added donuts to my Coffee and Donut Ice Cream where the donuts didn’t get rock hard….churros do. So I would recommend if you want to serve churros that you do so on the side or add them to the ice cream if you’re serving the ice cream right away. Also…..a tip for making churros? DON’T! Go to the Costo snack bar and purchase theirs! One Churro (which is giant) is only $1. Also, if cinnamon is your jam you will also like my churro cupcakes. So, even without the churros this ice cream was incredible! Plus, remember I mentioned a caramel surprise? That’s right…as I was pouring the made ice cream into a container (for it to harden more) I only added half and then spread on a whole 13.4 ounce can of Dulce de Leche! Oh My Gosh! YES! This Easy No Cook Churro Ice Cream was the BOMB!
Easy No Cook Churro Ice Cream
A creamy ice cream with a cinnamon kick and a hidden caramel surprise.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups whole milk
- 1 1/8 cups granulated sugar
- 3 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1 1/2 tablespoons vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 (13.4 ounce) can Nestlé Dulce de Leche
Instructions
In a medium mixing bowl, use a hand mixer and on low speed combine the milk and sugar until the sugar is dissolved. Stir in the heavy cream, vanilla and cinnamon. Turn the machine on; pour the mixture into the freezer bowl. Let mix until thickened, about 20 to 25 minutes. The ice cream will have a soft, creamy texture. If a firmer consistency is desired, let the machine go a little longer. Transfer the ice cream to an airtight container, pour half of the ice cream into the container, top with Dulce de Leche, add the remaining ice cream; cover and place in freezer or serve immediately.
NOTE: If the Dulce de Leche is too thick, BEFORE ADDING TO THE ICE CREAM pour into a microwave safe bowl and heat (about 15 seconds).
