This centerpiece is perfect for a Finding Dory Birthday Party, Under the Sea Party, Little Mermaid Party, Finding Nemo Party or any party that requires a coral reef. Centerpiece Layers
The height and length of your centerpiece is up to you. Mine was about 3 feet long and 12 inches deep.
• POOL NOODLES
• Start with the tallest pool noodles; hot glue to a piece of wood (as you can see by the photo I used five).
• Glue the middle layer in a staggered fashion (only three for this layer).
• In front of the back and middle layer stagger shorter pool noodles filling in some of the gaps (I added five).
Tip for Removing the black Marker from Pool Noodles
• PLASTIC TUBE NOISE MAKERS
• Treat the noise makers that same as the pool noodles. Start with three tall noise makers that have been cut taller then the tallest pool noodles. Hot glue in place.
• Bend and place them between the pool noodles, filling in the back area. Hot glue in place.
• Now add medium height noise makers (I used six pieces), filling in the middle area. Hot glue in place.
• The front has a variety of smaller height noise makers. Hot glue in place.
DON’T WORRY IF IT LOOKS SPARSE—FILLING IN THE EMPTY SPACES IS THE FUN PART!
• SMALL FUN NOODLE PIECES
• Cut several small pieces of pool noodles anywhere from 3 inches tall to 1 inch tall. Place around the outside of the coral reef.
• SHOWER LOOFAH, PUFFER BALLS, AND SEA CREATURES
• Hot glue assorted small shower loofah scrunchies and puffer balls onto the small pieces of pool noodles.
• COVER TABLE (I used a sand colored burlap), place plywood with glued on pieces on top of cover.
• Fill in with the fish and sea creatures.
• COVER UP THE PLYWOOD with an additional piece of fabric (I used a dark brown piece of burlap). Push the fabric in between the glued pieces
• For bubbles, add clear plastic ornaments.
• Lastly add shells and starfish.
