CREAMY PINEAPPLE PUNCH RECIPE
Sherbet Punch has been around well…FOREVER. As a kid anytime we went to a party whether it was a baby shower, ladies luncheon, or bridal shower you could count on sherbet punch. My Mom made it two ways with orange sherbet or lime sherbet. I loved that punch. It’s a sweet reminder of my childhood and the simpler times. Here is my version of sherbet punch→PIRATE PARTY HAWAIIAN SHERBET PUNCH. So, by now I’m sure you’ve guessed what the “creamy” portion of this punch will be. In case you haven’t here’s the answer. PINEAPPLE SHERBET. You won’t need quarts of pineapple sherbet, only about 8 scoops so one quart will do. NOTE: If you add sherbet to the punch you won’t need fruit or a punch ice ring.

1960’s PUNCH RECIPE
The perfect retro punch! I found this recipe in my grandmas recipe binder that was handed down to me. I think it’s from the 60’s. She had such a wonderful collection of newspaper clippings, magazine pages, recipes she wrote herself and hand typed too! This book is such a treasure and I love looking through it.
Punch Alterations
Even though this punch recipe is delicious, one of the great things about punch is its versatility. Below are a few alterations so you can switch up the recipe from party to party.
LEMON-LIME SODA: Swap out the sparkling grape juice.
CLUB SODA: Keep in mind when swapping out the sparkling grape juice for club soda it will effect no only the taste but the sweetness.
COCONUT RUM: Give your guests the feeling of being on a tropical vacation (adult version).
LEMONADE CONCENTRATE: Swap out the limeade concentrate for the lemonade juice concentrate.
ORANGE JUICE CONCENTRATE: Swap out the limeade concentrate for the orange juice concentrate.
How to Make an Adult Party Punch
BOOZY PUNCH: Add an adult kick to this wedding reception punch recipe and turn your punch into an adult drink. The amount you add is up to you. Swap out the sparkling grape juice for champagne or sparkling wine.
How to Spruce Up Your Punch
ADD FRUIT: The best way of knowing what fresh fruit to add to your punch is written right in the recipe. This punch recipe calls for pineapple juice, orange juice and limeade concentrate. That means, orange slices, lime slices, and fresh pineapple (pineapple chunks or pineapple rings) fruits would be delicious floating around in your punch. TIP FOR ADDING FRUIT TO INDIVIDUAL PUNCH GLASSES: Add the fruit first, then ice, and then the punch. The fruit is pretty in the bottom of the glass and is trapped at the bottom to keep it out of the way of drinking the punch.
How to Make an Ice Ring
NO MORE DILUTED PUNCH! Adding a decorative ice ring to a big bowl of party punch, not only offers a pretty presentation but also adds a touch of fun. THE SECRET to a successful ice ring is….don’t use water. For this ring I made two punch recipes. I filled a tupperware jello mold with one recipe and served the other. That way when the ring starts to melt it will only add flavor and not dilute the punch. Also, use some of the fresh fruit for the punch and place in the ring before freezing. This rule applies to any punch. The liquid you add should be the same or a piece of the liquid in the punch recipe. For this I used a jello mold. The mold is perfect because both ends come off. MAKE THE ICE RING AT LEAST THE NIGHT BEFORE THE PARTY. TO THAW: Run hot water around the sides and fill the side with the indention (smaller side—top) with water for a few minutes. The perfect addition to your Wedding Day after Party!
THE PUNCH BOWL
Most households don’t have a punch bowl. I don’t own an official punch bowl. Instead I use a large plastic bowl (for when I want to add an ice ring) or a large jar. You can also make the punch in a large container, stir it up and divide it into small pitchers or pour it into a drink dispenser.
