Semi Homemade Salted Caramel Brownies
One bite of these delicious Semi Homemade Salted Caramel Brownies is all it will take for your guests to fall in love. These dense chewy brownies are full of texture from the creamy dense chocolate brownie to the crunch of the salted pretzels. Your taste buds will be dancing for joy and your guests will never guess that the recipe is semi homemade!
Parties, potlucks and barbecues are a few reasons you need to make these delicious brownies ASAP! But….you might want to make two batches because before you’re able to set the platter down one batch will be gone.

For these Semi Homemade Salted Caramel Brownies I started with my favorite brownie mix….Dark Chocolate Ghirardelli. If you can’t find this brand or have a brand you love then use that one. I do want to remind you that this recipe is for a mix that is 20 ounces.

What makes these semi homemade salted caramel brownies so delicious (beside the mix)? It’s the layer of Torani Caramel sauce and the crunchy salted pretzel bottom! What’s not to love?

Semi Homemade Salted Caramel Brownies
Ingredients
- 1 (20 ounce) box Ghirardelli dark chocolate brownie mix
- ¼ cup water
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup mini pretzel twists
- ½ cup caramel sauce (I used Torani)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 325°. Spray a 8x8-inch baking dish with non stick cooking spray. Arrange pretzels on the bottom of the baking dish. In a medium bowl stir together the brownie mix, water, oil and egg until combined. Pour half of the batter over the pretzels, spread to the edges, pour caramel over the batter, spread the caramel to evenly distribute,swirl without disturbing the pretzels, add the remaining batter on top and smooth to the edges as best as you can. Bake 50 minutes. Set on a cooling rack to cool completely.
