“You’re Just My Type” Valentine’s Day Dessert Table
“You’re Just My Type” Valentine’s Day Dessert Table | A fun twist on words using an old antique type writer as my inspiration.
When I was deciding on a dessert menu. I wanted to create a table that would be fun, tasty and VERY easy to put together. This table is full of easy, fun and delicious recipes. Some can be made days in advance or even frozen weeks in advance.
The kid’s arrived 30 minutes before the party. They had tons of fun decorating the cookies.
THE DECORATIONS
CHALK BOARD SIGN
Chalk boards are everywhere now. A one time purchase that can be used over and over again!
FELT BANNER
This banner is simple and inexpensive to make. Click on “felt banner” above to find out how I made this banner.
POM POM GARLAND
Adding a garland across the front of your table adds texture and color. Click on “pom pom garland” above to find out how I made this garland.
CENTERPIECE
An old type writer I had in the attic. I styled this whole party around this type writer. Sometimes it takes one thing to get the ball rolling.
FOOD LABELS
Having food labels that coordinate with your theme adds another layer of interest. Here is the template for the You’re Just My Type Label. I left this label blank so you could either write or stamp on it.
PARTY FAVORS
I always try to have a fun way to say “thank you for coming”. See the little ones eyes light up when they open this party favor. The pouches are filled with candy and little toys. Click on “party favors” above to find out how I made these party favors.

I HOPE YOU HAD A WONDERFUL TIME CELEBRATING VALENTINE’S DAY WITH ME!
Such a beautiful party!!! I have an old typewriter like that displayed in my living room. The children really like typing on it! How far we have come to now have computers and internet. Thank you for all of the great ideas!
Thanks Diane, I had a lot of fun styling this party. 🙂
